We had another fun flooring installation this week. It has been very hard to get our hands on unique commercial broadloom carpet as the ranges in Australia are quite limited. This is since most businesses these days elect to install Carpet Tiles. Although we have a huge range of CT to choose from, we still have clients who really want good old-fashioned carpet.
To fix the problem, let's make our own design and produce a custom carpet where the client can choose whatever they like!
We work with some amazing suppliers here in Australia to produce custom designs and styles.
We just completed an amazing design custom install at the Seven Hills RSL all designed and made by Wautier Carpets. Maggie put an amazing design together and with our skilled installers the job looks amazing!!
Reach out of you want to design something special for your space!

My Amazing networking business group in Lindfield Sydney this morning. Every fortnight we chat about our business and pass each other leads where we can. Who needs a sales team ha ha

It has been a busy 6 months with a variety of projects and one of our favourite installs has been the Pennant Hills Bowling club upper-level dance hall. We installed a beautiful woven custom design carpet from Wautier carpets that reflects the space perfectly. Pattern matching is a skill and lucky our team can manoeuvre the carpet runs perfectly to create an amazing seamless looking finish! Pop in and take a look some time. Here are some progress photos.

There is nothing like Timber!
Over the years of being in business, I have sold many flooring products for all types of purposes however there is nothing like seeing a beautiful hardwood timber floor go down.
There is something about the amazing look, sustainability and durability of solid timber!
We are currently 1/2 way through a beautiful Australian Spotted Gum floor for the Montessori School in Balmain and as we have not put the polish down, I though sharing the look of beautiful Australian timber install raw was worth posting.
We have installed a waterproof 2 pack membrane to the concrete, builders' plastic, underfloor insulation, batons then Spotted Gum Timber.
We still have the polishing to go so further photos will be shared.
Take a look how amazing timber looks before it has the polish installed.

𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

Most of us know that timber is one of the most amazing flooring options on the planet! A beautiful natural flooring made by nature 🌲

Take a look at this amazing range from Dunlop floors. The “Hartridge” range has a variety of oaks, you won’t run out of colours and styles to chose from.

We love it so much that we have set up the full “Dunlop” sample range in our show room in Lane Cove, we would love to show you what is available

Engineered floors are the perfect choice for city homes and units as they are designed to fit together, and there is no need to glue them to the floor. They are easier to install than solid timber and we can also install them at a very reasonable price. 🏠💰

Over our 24 years in business, we have conducted many different business activities in many different scenarios. However, we have always found that for quality, fulfilling and fruitful business, personal contact and relationship building has been our best method of meeting new clients.

This may not be the business model for everyone, however, being a small business who enjoys the pleasures of seeing happy clients, it’s a perfect system for those who also want to enjoy personal connection while working. Building relationships, builds trust and gives satisfaction when conducting our day to day business.

I have been a part of BNI for some time and have just joined a forming chapter in Hunters Hill in Sydney.
We currently have around 21 business owners from all around our local area and we meet every week for breakfast to help each other grow our businesses.

If any of my friends would like to come along, please reach out, it would be a pleasure to have you at our group for a visit.
When: Every Thursday at 7.30 am Hunters Hill Club, Hunters Hill Sydney.

P.S: A couple of fun pics winning and presenting the golden mike for the best 60 second pitch 🎤

We love producing a perfect blend of colour and texture to highlight a space.

This project is a Yoga Studio in Artarmon, the client requested an earthy feel with a carpet tile that is also soft enough to exercise on.🧍‍♀️

By utilising a base colour and highlight colour, we used both colours to mix a perfect blend of tiles. installed in an ashlar pattern method, similar to timber, and with the added soft backing. This achieved a nice feel under foot, and in this case under body!

Modular floors can be installed in many ways using a blend of colour, in any concentration, depending on your taste.

Above Left has some fantastic styles available like this mix of Upstream EBB River, with around 33% River Emerald.

Luke Jessop Smith, our representative from Above Left is always extremely helpful with giving advice and can even complete full renders to show you what the flooring will look like once fully installed.

This is achieved by taking photos of the space and producing a digital image of the exact floor that is to be installed based on your chosen blend of colours etc.

A question we regularly get asked is “ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀?”

Not knowing the intricacies of an individual’s specific allergy….the answer is
“𝗔 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁”

Solution-dyed nylon carpet or SDN carpets can offer several benefits for people with asthma when installed in homes. 🏠

Here are five advantages 👇🏻

🔹 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Solution-dyed nylon carpets are inherently resistant to mould, mildew, and allergens. The fibres are dyed during the manufacturing process, making them less likely to trap dust, pollen, pet hair and other allergens commonly found in carpets. This can significantly reduce asthma triggers.

🔹 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻: Solution-dyed nylon carpets are generally more stain-resistant than traditional nylon carpets. Easier to clean and require less maintenance, reducing the presence of allergens and irritants in the carpet.

🔹 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: Solution-dyed nylon is known for its exceptional durability. It can withstand heavy foot traffic and regular vacuuming without losing its colour or structural integrity. Minimising potential triggers associated with carpet deterioration.

🔹 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 (𝗩𝗢𝗖𝘀): VOCs are chemicals that can be emitted from certain materials, including carpets, and may exacerbate respiratory conditions like asthma. Solution-dyed nylon carpets typically have low VOC emissions, which can contribute to improved indoor air quality and a healthier living environment.

🔹 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Carpet, in general, can help reduce noise levels in the home by absorbing sound. Solution-dyed nylon carpets can help create a quieter and more comfortable indoor environment.

While solution-dyed nylon carpets offer these benefits for asthma sufferers, it's also essential that the overall indoor environment should be well-maintained.

Regular cleaning, ventilation, and controlling humidity levels can further enhance the benefits of solution-dyed nylon carpets in asthma and allergy management.

This week we have been asked by a lot of our clients why they should install a Hybrid Floor as opposed to a Floating Laminated Floor.

Here are 5 benefits of installing a Hybrid floor covering 👇

✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳: Hybrid flooring is highly resistant to water and moisture, making it an excellent choice for areas prone to spills or high humidity. Such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. Standard laminated flooring is not waterproof and can be damaged by water over time. 💧

✅ 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Hybrid flooring is engineered with strong materials and a wear-resistant top layer, making it more durable and resistant to wear and tear compared to standard laminated flooring. It can withstand heavy foot traffic and last longer in busy areas. 🚶‍♀️

✅ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Hybrid flooring often features high-definition printing technology that replicates the look of natural materials like wood or stone with remarkable realism. This provides an authentic and aesthetically pleasing appearance, similar to standard laminated flooring.

✅ 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁: Hybrid flooring typically includes a soft under-layer, offering more comfort underfoot compared to standard laminated flooring. The added cushioning also helps reduce noise, making it quieter to walk on.

✅ 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Thanks to its water-resistant surface, hybrid flooring is easy to clean and maintain. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with mild cleaning solutions are usually sufficient to keep it in great condition. Standard laminated flooring may require more care and should be kept dry to avoid damage.

Hybrid flooring excels in its waterproof properties, durability, realistic appearance, comfort, and ease of maintenance. Making it a preferred flooring option over standard floating laminated flooring, especially in areas where water resistance and durability are essential. 🙌
