FOUR DAYS LEFT to come in store for the Global Book Crawl!

It has been so exciting seeing everyone in store this week, seeing new faces, having the store even more full of bookish chats and excitement!

If you collect 5 stamps, by visiting any of the 16 indie book stores in the crawl you get a free audio book from . If you manage to get to all 16 (we have certainly been impressed by a few people who have already completed the crawl!) you go into a draw to win a $750 Book Voucher!

Can’t wait to see more excitements faces over the next few days!

This year we are involved in the GLOBAL BOOK CRAWL!! There are 16 Indie Book Shops in Sydney involved for the entire last week of April!

How to Crawl:
1. Pop in to a participating bookshop to pick up your Book Crawl Passport (already available in the lead up).
2. Visit the participating bookshops between the 20th-26th April to collect a stamp and explore!
3. Once you have grown your TBR pile sufficiently and collected your 5th stamp, collect your free Libro.fm audio book!
4. After a week spent adventuring, sword fighting and searching for every treasure you can collect, and you have collected that 16th stamp, you can register to go into the draw to win a $750 book people voucher!! If you complete the crawl as a family you can collect a free copy of Andy Griffith’s Land of Lost Things (while stocks last) 😱

If you purchase a penguin book on your crawl you can collect one of the adorable Penguin Persona collectable cards! (Limit of one per person per bookshop).

This year we are involved in the GLOBAL BOOK CRAWL!! A super fun event in the last week of April for you to discover the magic of your local indie bookshops 🙌
How to Crawl:
1. Between the 20th-26th of April head into a participating bookshop and pick up your Book Crawl Passport (passport should already be available to pick up in the few weeks before)
2. Explore the cosy, exciting and mysterious world of these bookshops and collect your stamps along the way! If you purchase a Penguin book you will receive a Penguin Persona Card Pack (while stocks last, limited to one per person per bookshop). See if you can collect them all as you travel between the bookshops!
3. After traversing your way between 5 of these shops- whether by dragon, carriage or horseback - show your 5 stamps at your next location and receive a free audio book!
6. When you complete the crawl, after your many adventures, sword fights and caffeinated searches for your favourite books, you can register to go in the draw for a $750 book people voucher! Completed the crawl as a family? You can grab a free copy of Andy Griffiths Land of Lost Things 💫 (while stocks last).

The year was 2015. Guy Sebastian placed fifth at Eurovision. Malcolm Turnbull rolled Tony Abbott. The White and Gold Dress Debate threatened the very fabric of society.

But most significantly of all, the Burns Bay Bookery was born.

To everyone who’s joined us in our love of a good book and a meandering chat over the last decade, thank you! You’ve helped us to build a beautiful thing and - COVID closures and flooding rains not withstanding - been the making of our best memories.

Council works on Burns Bay Road have limited pedestrian access to the shop today but we ARE open and we WOULD love to see you. Let’s be honest… a bit of construction is no match for our shared love of books (and shopping!).
