My favorite thing about being a yarn dyer is being able to bring a customers vision to life. I love a custom dye. This teal blue/green in 8 ply Merino is going to be an amazing cabled sweater. The second photo shows my process, the brief was a teal colour so I made a teal green and a teal with a bit more blue, The teal blue was the winner.
Now to dye the remaining six skeins of the order. 😀

Today I've been winding up some yarn. Its brushed Alpaca, Merino, silk that I have dyed and am going to knit into a jumper for me. Its going to be interesting working with this new yarn, it didn't take up the dye as well as I was hoping but its still pretty and it doesn't shed as much as mohair so will be easier to knit I hope. It will be a fun experiment.
