A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate our Burnie Mission Shop makeover! 💙

It was wonderful to welcome the local community into the refreshed space across last Friday and Saturday🛍️

A special thank you also to Teeny Brumby - Mayor of Burnie for joining us to mark the occasion, and to everyone who came along, grabbed a bargain, entered the hamper giveaways, supported the children’s lucky dips, or donated food items to support our Spring Food Drive👏

The makeover has created a brighter and more welcoming space, but the heart of the shop remains the same - community, generosity and local impact ✨

Every donation and every purchase at our Mission Shops helps support City Mission’s work across the North and North West of Tasmania, helping transform lives and strengthen communities 🤝

Come and celebrate at Burnie Mission Shop this weekend!

This Friday and Saturday the 11th and 12th September, Burnie Mission Shop will be celebrating its recent makeover with customers.

Everyone is welcome and there will be prizes and discounts across the 2 days including:
- Hamper giveaways
- $2 lucky dip
- 20% of all donated lines

Be sure to come along! Located at 2 Alexander Street, Burnie and open 9:30am – 5pm Friday and 9:30am – 4pm Saturday.

20 years of City Mission in Devonport!

This September marks 20 years since City Mission first opened our Mission Shop in Devonport.

From its original location across the road in 2006 to its current home at 52 Don Road, the shop has become much more than a place to find a bargain - it’s become a real part of the local community.

Today, Julie and the team are joined by more than 30 volunteers, along with TasTAFE and Devonport Support School students, creating a shop full of personality, 80s music, plenty of laughs and plenty of treasures to find.

To celebrate, the team will have daily giveaways and a few surprises throughout the week. With Father’s Day coming up, kids can also grab a special colouring-in sheet for Dad, along with birthday colouring-ins and the chance to win a little prize.

Most of all, it’s our chance to say thank you to everyone who has shopped, donated, volunteered or supported the Devonport Mission Shop over the past 20 years.
