Welcome to the 'Meet the Vendor' series. Where our vendors can tell you a bit more about themselves and how they got started - and of course a few fun questions to. 😉

Meet Susan behind The Tiny Edit Co.

☠️ What do you make, create, sell or do?

Susan: I make and sell lots of pretty little things, but the main event is my build your own pen bar. Pick your pen, choose your beads and make something completely your own. I also have ready made pens, keychains, bookmarks, little gifts and whatever else I’ve become obsessed with making that week.

🖤 How did it all begin?

Susan: It started as a little creative hobby and something fun for me to do. Then I thought, “I could take this to a market…” and apparently that was all the encouragement I needed.

☠️ Was there a grand plan… or did something get wildly out of hand?

Susan: Absolutely no grand plan. It got wildly out of hand. What started with a few pens now has its own room in my house, an alarming amount of beads and me constantly saying, “I just need one more thing for the stall.” 😂

🖤 What’s your favourite thing you’ve ever made or sold?

Susan: Probably the pen bar itself. I love seeing people stand there going through all the beads, changing their minds 14 times and then being ridiculously pleased with what they’ve made. That’s my favourite part.

☠️ What’s something people would probably NEVER guess about you?

Susan: I’m actually quite a homebody. For someone who voluntarily signs herself up for markets full of people, I’m extremely happy at home avoiding everyone.

🖤 What’s one thing about you that’s a little strange?

Susan: I’m either completely uninterested in something or suddenly know far too much about it. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground.

☠️ What’s a completely random subject you know WAY too much about?

Susan: Honestly, pick a day. Ancient Egypt, witches, animals, human behaviour, random medical facts… if something catches my interest, I can disappear down a rabbit hole very quickly.

🖤 You’re stranded on a desert island and can take ONE completely unnecessary item. What are you bringing?

Susan: My phone. Completely useless once the battery dies, but I’m apparently still bringing it. 😂

☠️ What song would play every time you entered a room if your life had a soundtrack?

Susuan: Unbothered by Affirmation Club 😌

🖤 And finally, finish this sentence: “You’ll probably find me at The Alt because…”

Susan: I love the atmosphere, the creativity and the mix of people. It’s such a welcoming space and I always feel really comfortable there. Plus, I get to sit behind a table full of beads and call it work.
