The Tasmanian Artisan Shop CLOSED PERMANENTLY. Was located in the Launceston. Supported local artists from 2016 to 2024. The Owners Ron and Kim are both local artists.

The Tasmanian Artisan Shop has over 180 different artisans and crafts people work in our store. There is something for everyone, we have wood work from small boxes or bowls to coffee tables, we have photography, artwork, hand crafted and hand crafted jewellery, pottery, glass work, hand knitted items, candles, scarfs, handbags, journals/diaries and lots more, the most important thing is that every

one that is in our store are all Tasmanian and we pride our self's in supporting Tasmanian's and giving them an opportunity to get there work out there. For the last 4 years since opening they had been going to the Evandale market, meeting fantastic artists that they were next to each weekend. The idea of a store was thought up by Ron and the late Chris Bennett. With a fantastic variety and an every growing store, we want to continue supporting local Tasmanians.

Our Story

108 George Street - Launceston. The Tasmanian Artisan Shop opened in the first week of November 2016. It opened with just 35 Tasmanian Artisans and now has over 190 different artisans and crafts people represented work in the store. It developed as a place for artists who have no avenue to sell there wonderful products. There is something for everyone, we have wood work from small boxes or bowls to coffee tables, we have photography, artwork, hand crafted and hand crafted jewellery, pottery, glass work, hand knitted items, candles, scarfs, handbags, journals/diaries and lots more, the most important thing is that everyone in our store is Tasmanian and we pride our self's in supporting Tasmanian's and giving them an opportunity to get there work out there. The Owners Ron and Kim together with their son Joshua are also local artists. For the 4 years prior to opening Ron and Kim had been going to the Evandale market and other markets around the state, meeting fantastic artists each weekend. The idea of a store was thought up by Ron and the late Chris Bennett. With a fantastic variety and an every growing store, we want to continue supporting local Tasmanian's.
