👑 Goldee’s First Early Morning Shift… 👑

After yesterday’s induction, Goldee was so grateful for all the love from our team and our wonderful customers💛Today was her first early morning shift… and the very first thing she did was complain about how cold it was! 🥶
We quickly realised why… Oh no, Goldee…
Oh no, Goldee… not again! 🤦‍♂️😂Yesterday you forgot to wear full dress… and today you forgot your pants We know those early starts can be overwhelming, but please remember to get fully dressed before coming to work 🤦😂
She’s still refusing to take off her crown 👑,
🤣 If you see Goldee today, give her a wave… but please don’t encourage her, She’s still refusing to take off her crown 👑, so we’ve officially sent her to the Naughty Corner until she remembers to wear the full uniform🤣

👑 BREAKING NEWS: We have a new staff member! 👑

Please help us welcome Goldeee to the Newstead News & Café team 💛It’s her very first shift, so she’s a little nervous… 😅She arrived in such a rush that she forgot to put her work uniform on 🤦😂
We’re also not sure who told her she was starting as the Queen of Newstead… because she even turned up wearing a crown! 👑🤣
Don’t worry—we’ll get her a proper uniform, teach her some customer service skills, and remind her that crowns are optional on weekdays! 😂
For now, she’s been appointed our Official Father’s Day Display Queen. 👑

💔 Our hearts are with Elaine’s family.

For 20 years, Elaine dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse at Launceston Hospital. After finishing work, she was driving home when she became involved in a tragic incident. Despite fighting for two days in hospital, she sadly passed away from her injuries.Elaine leaves behind her loving husband, Rodney, and their two young children.
Heartbreakingly, what should have been her 40th birthday will now be the day her family and friends say their final goodbye.
As a small gesture of support, all of us at Newstead News & Café have donated $200 to Elaine’s GoFundMe. We know this small gesture can’t take away the pain and heartbreak her family is going through, but we hope it lets them know their community is standing beside them.If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing the fundraiser. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference.

💛 Everyone Has a Story

Today we had the pleasure of meeting Kaye and Aileen.
They stopped by Newstead News & Café for a coffee, picked up a Lotto ticket, and shared plenty of laughs with us.
They promised that if they win the big one, they’ll be back with a bottle of champagne to celebrate! 🥂🍀
They gave our coffee a 5-star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That definitely made Ravi’s day! 😄
What really stood out was their friendship. They’ve been friends for many years and reminded us how important it is to look after one another 🤗

Before they left, they shared a simple but powerful life lesson:
