*TREAT DREAMS IS CLOSING*

When Treat Dreams started seven years ago, the goal was to create vegan treats worthy of the best moments and people in your life.

We committed to proving the kindest choice, and the most delicious choice, could be the same. That the vegan option doesn’t have to be sugar free, taste free, raw, healthy or preachy - that it can just be really, really great chocolate that you’re proud to share.

Because we knew vegans wanted chocolate that tasted like, well, chocolate. After all they’d given up dairy - not taste.

We’re so proud of everything we’ve made, and done, during this time. And we’re so incredibly grateful for this community - that kept us going as long as we did.

While we explored many options for keeping things going, this is where we’ve landed.

We’ve stopped production, and will close our doors once we've sold our remaining stock. Bars, bears, bunnies, whatever you love most. It’s time to stock up and try to ration it out (yes we know how hard that can be!).

Here’s a few things you’ll need to know, for our final weeks together:

* Gift vouchers: will be honoured, while we still have stock left. If you want to redeem, please use them quickly before your favourites are gone.

* Shipping turnarounds: will now ship twice weekly (instead of daily), due to reduced resources and increased demand. Thank you for your patience during this time.

* Click & Collect orders: will now be picked up from our Leichhardt facility. We’ll send you directions and instructions when you book your pick up appointment online.

Finally - we’ve all read too many of these types of messages this year. It’s harder than ever to be in business, but even more of a struggle for vegan businesses. So please support your favourites - make sure they stick around. We’ll tag a few of our favourites in this post.

It’s almost the start of spring, or as we like to call it around here - Easter 2.0 🙌🐰🌱

We still have some cream bunnies left at 50% off - they’re slightly past date, which means they’ll become slightly less gooey if you take your time eating them (but will still be totally safe and delicious to bite into).

While we reckon eating them quickly won’t be an issue - once the goo starts to become firmer, they melt down into a great hot chocolate - or you can put them in the middle of some baking if you’re feeling fancy.

Less than ten lamington bars left - and then they’re gone!

This bar is an extra special one for a few reasons:

🍓🥥 Our friends at came up with the idea

🍓🥥 We asked our social media community which chocolate bar idea they’d most like to see actually come to life - and they picked this one!

🍓🥥 People here in Australia get it shipped to their door - and then, they send it all over the world! I mean, sometimes they just eat it themselves (very solid decision). But yes - this bar is very popular as a gift for loved ones overseas.

One of the lamington bars we sold this week is going all the way to Kentucky!

🍓🥥 And, speaking of the USA - it won us a gold medal for Best Vegan Milk Chocolate at the International Chocolate Salon this year!

It was dreamed up by one of our friends, and then chosen by our community - who often use it to make THEIR friends feel special. How very, very cool is that 😎

Someone asked us what our “best” bar is - and while that’s kind of like trying to figure out the best way to eat potatoes (it really depends on the person, and the moment)…if you’re looking for a new bar to love, I’m gonna suggest you give Peanut Crunch a whirl.

🏆 It’s won a stack of awards! It won Best Vegan Milk Chocolate at the International Chocolate Salon in 2020 and then in 2021 - it took home the silver in the general competition, beating out all the non-vegan bars and brands.

If people who judge chocolate for a living think it’s better than all the other bars out there, vegan or non-vegan - it’s got to be something special!

❤️ Everyone on our team has different fave bars, bears and bunnies - but Peanut Crunch is one we love pretty much across the board (based on an informal survey I did in Slack a while back).

If the whole team names something as a favourite, with all their different food backgrounds and flavour preferences - you know it’s gotta be good!

🎁 I once gave some to a non-vegan food blogger friend of mine and she lost her marbles over it. Ate the entire block in one hit and didn’t even offer to share (…awkward).

It really is a crowd pleaser - so if you’re looking at getting someone (whether they’re vegan or not) some chocolate as a gift? This one is a good bet.

💌 It gets great reviews - via our channels and on stockist websites as well!

If someone likes a thing enough to spend their time writing a paragraph or two about how much they liked it - that’s always a good sign.

🍫 It’s almond milk chocolate with peanuts and toffee. Enough said.

If you’ve been following along on stories - we’ve been trying to figure out which is the superior classic Aussie dessert, and in turn, the superior classic Aussie dessert inspired chocolate bar - pavlova, or lamington?

(..I’ll just sit here and wait for someone with a suit and a clipboard to knock on my door and tell me that I can't be a Kiwi any more after referring to pavlova as Australian) 🐨🥝

And…the polls kept coming out 50/50! 🤷‍♀️

Both won a stack of medals at the International Chocolate Salon, too (we sent the pav in 2021, and lamington this year)...so that wasn’t much help as a tie breaker.

So: I’m bringing it to the feed, for a final vote 💪
