Just a couple of weeks ago we received a big order from our friends at Samunnat Nepal. Believe it or not, this order was is in preparation for our Christmas trade 😱 (and before Nepalis take their annual festive holidays ‘Dashain’ next month). As usual, the ladies worked very hard to put our order together, as every single piece is made by hand (and totally unique!). There are so many pieces to choose from… earrings (drops and studs), brooches, bracelets, necklaces and new to our range, key rings!! Prices range from $20 - $99 and as Samunnat Nepal is certified fair trade, every piece sold comes with the Samunnat story, so you know who you are supporting when buy it. Samunnat jewellery is the perfect ‘gift that gives’ so please keep it in mind when looking for a gift for someone special (or for yourself!) Thank you to everyone who visited our little shop over the weekend and thank you to everybody who contacted us with concern for our friends and colleagues in Nepal, especially the victims of this unspeakable disaster. As the scale of this tragedy unfolds, we feel more helpless and more heartbroken for the Nepalese people. Many of you have asked how to help. Understandably you want donations to reach the affected area and as I have no direct contacts in that specific region of Nepal, I would suggest donating directly to organisations working on the ground now. We have chosen the Australian Red Cross who are working with the Nepal Red Cross and we have a collection tin in the shop for small donations. We suggest for larger donations, going directly to their website (link in bio). Of course there are many more charities you can donate to…. Nepal needs our help big or small! 🇳🇵🙏

I had plans today to finally give some time to posting some of the beautiful stock that I’ve been busy unpacking behind the scenes, but after the tragic events in Nepal on Wednesday my enthusiasm has passed for material things 😞 It’s been so sad and heartbreaking to see this little country endure more tragedy on such a massive scale. The Nepalese people are so kind, generous and very resilient. I have so much respect and admiration for them and our thoughts are with all our Nepalese friends, suppliers and their families at this sad time 🙏

The sun is shining in Loch this morning and you can feel Spring is just around the corner! We are Open today 10.30am - 3.30pm and I must be in a good mood cause I’ve knocked 30% off our remaining Boomshankar Yumi jackets! Only a couple left…

Our little food mart got a top up this week 🙌 We will be OPEN all weekend 10.30am to 3.30pm for all kinds of shopping! 🛒 🍇 🍌 🍏 🥕 🧀 (and to the customer who was waiting on the Solar System Garland. We have restocked and I’ve put one aside for you! I’m so sorry I’ve misplaced your phone number! Oops)
