Two tiny lives. No mum. No mob. No one to save them. 💔🦘
What if just $5 from everyone who saw this post could help save a life?
This week, Mick was called out to two very similar rescues.
Two tiny joeys.
Two babies without their mums.
Two babies without their mob.
Scared. Dehydrated. Completely alone.
Emma and Peaches were around the same age and size — and both were in desperate need of help.
If it wasn't for the wonderful people who stopped, recognised that something was wrong and took the time to get them assessed, these beautiful little girls may not have survived much longer.
Now they are safe with us, receiving the warmth, care, milk, medication and rehabilitation they need to give them a chance at life. ❤️
But rescues like this don't stop.
Every day, we care for injured, orphaned and abandoned Australian wildlife, and the cost of that care adds up quickly.
Imagine if everyone who saw this donated just $5.
$5 might seem small to one person — but together, those $5 donations can mean food, medication, veterinary care and rehabilitation for animals who have nowhere else to go.

Hi everyone,

Our animal rescue is in desperate need of a little winter garden TLC!

After all the rain and winter weather, everything has grown like crazy and our gardens and animal areas are looking very overgrown. We’re looking for someone who might have some availability over the next two weeks to come out and give us a hand.

The jobs would include:

* Lawnmowing
* Whipper snipping
* Weeding
* Trimming and pruning
* General garden clean-up
* Basically, anything and everything to get the place looking tidy again!

We are a small not-for-profit animal rescue, so unfortunately we don’t have a huge budget, but we can pay a little for your time and hard work. We’d love to find someone local who is happy to help a good cause while earning a bit on the side.

If you have some spare time over the next couple of weeks and think you could help us get Emerald Acres back under control, please send us a message!

Even a few hours of help would make a huge difference to us and, of course, the animals in our care.

This Barn Owl had an impact with a truck on Tonkin Hwy. After receiving the call Mick drove him to Perth Wildlife Hospital for the best care and rehabilitation. He not only survived the impact but we got the honour of releasing him. Fly free you beautiful one.
