Cast Iron Cookware by Sori Yanagi

Delightful to look at, delightful to use.

Customers exclaim “how cute!” when they pick up the 16cm Mini Pan, but often dismiss it as some kind of impractical novelty pan. Sure, it’s not your everyday family frying pan, but it’t not trying to be!

A couple of eggs are this pan’s best mate. Easy and quick to cook. Simple to handle. Less to wash.

Hakusan Porcelain Butter Case

I don’t know what this modern Instagram-induced obsession for “Butter Crocks” or “Butter Bells” is about, but I feel like a generous surmising of the trend would be that it’s a thing for a European kitchens.

Personally speaking, my butter lives on the bench in one of these Hakusan butter dishes, and as far as I can tell it is happy as Larry and completely water-free.

Loop Home Organic Cotton Towels

Like tongs, it appears a good thing is hard to find when it comes to towels.

After the very sad departure of our beloved Shinto Towels (keep an eye out on that front - they might be back…), we struggled to find a product replacement that lived up to our high expectations.

Crafted in organic cotton for a certified B Corp Australian company in Türkiye. They come in a fun range of sizes and styles.

We’re particularly fond of using their Bath Sheets as Pool/Beach/River towels!

Feather Dusters.

Number one for “Most Fondled”!
And we think number one for dust busting!

Not just for show (or fondling), these beauties work perfectly as intended. It’s not a robot that vacuums your floor or mows your lawn - you do have to be involved in its operation BUT you get to feel like Niles from The Nanny while you’re doing it. And that’s a priceless feeling.

Victorinox Steak & Tomato Knife

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times - if you only have room for one knife in your drawer (what a sad drawer!), make it this one.

Should it be used to cut everything? Maybe not. Can it cut everything? It’s been more than obliging with everything that I’ve tried over many years.

Contented households have one. Happy households have two or three, or six or seven.

Nordic Ware Bundt Tins

Bake to impress!

Nothing says “I actually put a lot of effort into this” like a Bundt cake.

Bundts are not subtle.

Bundts scream look at me.

But ONLY if they are successfully de-moulded from their tins.

Don’t risk a Bundt-y BUNGLE! Literally nothing is more depressing!

Nordic Ware have been manufacturing Bundt tins in their Minnesota factory since the beginning of Bundt-immemorial (they literally invented the term “Bundt”…) so you could say they know that they’re doing.
