The Loxton and Waikerie Libraries are excited to welcome South Australian crime fiction authors Michael R. Brooks and Leanda Herring for a special author event.

The "Retired Country Doctor" is a gripping crime and courtroom thriller set in Waikerie. When a respected 95-year-old retired doctor is accused of war crimes allegedly committed during World War II, his son, barrister Finn Richter, must help uncover the truth. Michael R Brooks is heading to the Riverland to talk about his debut novel "The Retired Country Doctor". Making a splash among crime fiction enthusiasts this best selling novel is set in Waikerie, so what better place to meet the author! SAVE THE DATE - the 2pm in the afternon of September 9th at Waikerie Public Library, and 10am in the Morning of September 10th at Loxton Library. And joining Michael in conversation will be Leanda Herring, best selling South Australian author of "Beneath Her Lies". Her crime novel, set in the Flinders Ranges will have you on the edge of your seat. Both authors will be in conversation with local SA publisher and editor Dr Tanya Lyons, from Moonglow Publishing. Both books will be available for purchase on the day or available to borrow from the library. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to meet the authors in Waikerie and Loxton.

A fabulous bookish day at Playford Civic centre. Thanks to all the book lovers and fans who bought me coffee and donuts.
