All own choice pieces must be submitted together will full particulars of the item attached during own choice day, this Saturday 2nd August
WHERE : Mackay Eisteddfod Office, 39 Gordon Street Mackay
WHEN: 9am-4pm
Any own choice material not received by the nominated cut-off date will result result in the competitor being disqualified. No late submissions can be accepted.
This relates to all competitors in sections 551-567. Pianoforte solos and Instrumental solos, duets and trios/quartets.

Enjoyed the visit from Cairns based Punk band Heffa Lump while they are on tour in Mackay. They play tonight at Mcguire's Hotel alongside 7 other punk bands starting at 5pm. "Punks Not Dead" Tix available on the Mcguire's Hotel FB page.

FREE workshops for any young ones looking to get into the music industry. Spots are extremely limited so book NOW.

SoundUp! is a free youth music development program running across two weekends in July, tailored for two age groups (12-17 and 18-25). The program been designed to support young people with an interest in music production, song writing, and event management.
No experience is necessary, just a passion for music and a willingness to learn and connect with other likeminded people.

Workshop 1:
Young people aged 12-17
Date: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July
Time: 10am - 3pm
Location: Jubilee Community Centre
Day 1: Introduction to Songwriting and Music Industry Careers
Day 2: Performing and Introduction to Event Management

Workshop 2:
Young people aged 18-25
Date: Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July
Time: 10am - 3pm
Location: Jubilee Community Centre
Day 1: Introduction to Song writing and Introduction to Event Management
Day 2: Becoming a Bedroom Producer and Event Management (Intermediate)
