These quilt blocks were a combination of hand and machine embroidery, and my client just wanted light quilting so that it didn’t detract from the quilting. I started by ditching the blocks to secure it and then completed the custom quilting. I used a combination of a 50 weight variegated thread by Wonderfil, and a 40 weight thread by Superior Threads 🧵.

Tonight I’m quilting this gorgeous giraffe panel that will make the most beautiful cot quilt. Using a neutral thread so that the hearts design will sink into the background but still be effective. If you want to make a beautiful quilt for that special newborn but don’t have time, why not try a panel.

Taking some time to stitch tonight (with cuddles from Teddy 🐾). Considering I started this project in 2014, I think it’s time to make a solid effort and finish it! I really enjoy EPP, and I love stitching with Efina which is a 60 weight thread by Wonderfil. It comes in a variety colours which makes it easy to find the right thread to match my fabric.
