Disaster has struck, Kathy has forgotten the phone and ergo the eftpos system so has to duck back home and grab it. It’s honestly hard finding good help 🤦‍♀️🙃

Please note she’ll be back at the store by 11am today, Thursday, 6th August.

So if you pop by and we are closed please note Kathy isn’t far away and will be back.

We are so excited to have two more Independent authors stocked at Maitland Book Exchange!

Stormy Kagmire is a local splatter punk author with their debut novel Jolene hitting the shelves. This vigilante novel follows the story of a funeral directors daughter who was taught to always respect the dead. As she discovers, not everyone in the industry feels the same. This has twists right until the end. Eye opening and kept me intrigued the whole way through. Give this a go if you are horror fan and don’t mind a little gore! 18+ audience only

Chloe Jayne is a local Hunter Valley sci fi and horror author with their debut novel Squid Ward. Following the story of Dory Angler and her desperate quest to become a mother at all costs, but has she paid an ultimately gruesome price. Exploring the issues of fertility and the desire to have what sometimes we can’t sprinkled with dark humour you’ll honestly want to read it twice.

We have limited copies but more of course can be ordered so grab your friends, make this your next book club book and support local authors!

Check out our awesome new 3D printed signs!!!

We are so happy the with the finished product and we cannot thank Chris and Joel from C & J Precision enough for their patience when it came to us choosing colours and working so hard to get the design right for us.

If you are looking for signs for your own bookshelves these guys are local and and very easy to deal with.

We just need to decide the rest of the genres so we can have more signs printed and have the whole store decked out. We love them 🥰
