Hi everyone, just an update on the passing our our dear friend and resident busker Philip. I received a message from Phil's family to pass on:
"We are planing to have a celebration service for Philip Tietze at the Uniting Church Maleny on Monday 14/7/25 at 10:30 a.m. The intention is to welcome all who knew Phil to this service (Even dogs) after which there will be some sandwiches and a cuppa to have people share their experiences of Phil. We are also thinking of a guided walk through the bush where Phil planted a lot of native plants.

It's with deep sadness that I wish our dear friend Phillip Tietze farewell. May you RIP my friend. Gone too soon, you will be sadly missed.
Phil joined the crew at Markets on the Green as our resident busker from our first market a few years ago, where he also shared his wicked sense of humour. He'd often say something and I'd think....Did he really just say that? He'd be waiting with a smirk on his face to see if you got the joke, lol. We shared many jokes and fun times with Phil. If he knew I liked a certain song, by next market he’d learnt to play it. “I’m building my repertoire”, he’d say. He was a kind soul and I dare say the dogs of Maleny’s will miss their pats. He couldn’t pass a dog without saying hello.
The markets and it's patrons will miss you and your music, Phil. You brought us sunshine to an otherwise ordinary day.

Maleny Markets on the Green are looking for stallholders for this Saturday's Indoor/Outdoor market. We have recently moved location, so it feels like a brand new market. We're trying to build it up with regulars, but we also love casual stallholders. Stalls are $25 or $40 for a double. Tables are provided for indoor stalls, so it's an easy set-up. No more lugging tables in and out.
Food stalls also welcome.
Where: Maleny Uniting Church 8am - 1pm.

Sorry folks, we have to cancel Saturday's markets this week. The weather has turned nasty again. Yes we're indoors and the stallholders make the effort to get to the markets but as we know from past rainy days, the market goers don't come out in the rain. Our next market is on June 14th.

The next Maleny Markets on the Green is on this coming Saturday 31st May. Held at Maleny Uniting Church Hall.
The Maleny Show is also on this weekend so it might just be a great weekend. Lets hope the weather stays lovely.
