We are an independently owned bookstore with a vast range of greeting cards and stationery. We stock all categories from children's books through to cooking and fiction. As well as carrying all the best new releases we have a vast range of backlist titles. We also carry Malvern's best range of greeting and gift cards. When you need stationery, come to Jeffreys Books. The school holidays is the perfect time to join our Jeffreys Junior challenge! Our Jeffreys Junior readers have been reading five books from Jeffreys and telling us all about their favourites to claim a $15 voucher, and you can too! 📚

Jeffreys Junior is a reading challenge for any school aged children, primary or high school, to get involved with reading and reviewing their favourite books. Here's how it works:
Buy your first book in store at Jeffreys, where you will be registered in the challenge and given a bookmark to note down your reading progress.
When you finish your book, give it a rating out of 5 stars.
When you buy your second book, receive a free erasable pen!
When you finish your second book, give it a rating also.
Repeat for 5 books!
Once you've read and rated 5 books from Jeffreys Books, come in with a review of your favourite book and we'll give you a $15 book voucher. (Challenge ends 30 Dec 2026).

We have a new staff pick from Tia, who recently read the 2022 Miles Franklin prize winner 'Bodies of Light' by Jennifer Down. Here's what she had to say:

The Miles Franklin Literary Award has unveiled this year’s longlist, featuring ten novels that collectively offer a portrayal of Australian life in all its diversity. The prestigious Australian literature prize was established through the will of 'My Brilliant Career' author, Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin, with the aim of celebrating literary merit and Australian creativity (Perpetual, 2026). Two wonderful children's authors have come in to visit us at Jeffreys recently. We're so grateful for the opportunity to chat to so many amazing Australian authors and we love hearing all about their writing and creative processes.

has just released 'The Wild Unknown' an adventurous middle read's sci-fi about the power of friendship and real connection in the face of technological advances. A compelling mystery about changing friendships, growing up, and embracing challenge.
