That was a noisey night 🌧️💨
If you’re thinking of popping in….before 2pm looks good 🤔.
🚨 2:45AM UPDATE 🚨
Before I get into the numbers, can people please learn to actually read the posts before commenting "nothing here" or "it's not windy at my place".
Seriously... it's doing my bloody head in.
We've said repeatedly that the strongest conditions for Perth and many inland areas were expected later Sunday, not at 2:45am Sunday morning. The cold front is still moving through and the deep low hasn't even started its main act yet.
Now for those who actually read the updates...

🌪️ Special mention to Cape Leeuwin, which has now dropped below 990hPa to 988.0hPa. That's a pretty good indication of just how significant this system is becoming as the low continues to deepen and approach the South West.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The strongest winds overnight have mainly been confined to exposed coastal locations and elevated terrain, exactly as expected.
The concern remains later Sunday and Sunday night, when the deep low moves closer to the coast and widespread damaging winds develop across the Lower West, South West and inland parts of the South West Land Division.
So if you're sitting there at 2:45am saying "nothing here"...
Congratulations. The weather system hasn't organised its visit to your backyard yet.
Check back in 12-18 hours.
