These turtles have become something so engrained in my life at the moment. In a world of plastic everywhere, where fidget toys are making a huge craze in the world of coping with life. I have found it's difficult to find a non plastic option.

So I made it!

What started out as a cute turtle memory game for my son, has turned into a cute little fidget friend that can live in your pocket. Made from wool or cotton yarn and a little wishing stone to sooth your soul. Who knows how long I will be making them but for now they are my happy little friends.

Guess how many repairs are here!

Embracing the slow fashion mending culture has given me a healthy respect for where are clothing comes from and how lazy our society's mindset has become. This pair of merino's with 5 holes just in the legs most would be saying it's time for a new pair...

What happens to the old ones? Well most people think the op shop will take them and although you may drop them off I know for a fact most op shops are so overwhelmed with the amount they are given that holes go in the bin.

This is our reality

Hopefully this can inspire even just one person to pick up a needle and thread and extend the life of their well loved clothing.

Shout out to for selling repurposed wool thread from garments that would have otherwise been sent to landfill. If you need to mend your woolens she has been very helpful with colour matching!
