When I had my third child I was back soaking in the laundry on a regular basis! It had been 6 years since my last baby and I'd honestly forgotten how busy and time poor you become when caring for a little human! I was running around doing the very best I could on no sleep, juggling motherhood and starting so many household chores that I honestly had trouble finishing. One of those chores was soaki
ng in the laundry. I would be soaking nappies, poo and wee leaked clothing, and clothing covered in food that seemed to get everywhere but in the baby's mouth! I'd throw those items into a bucket to soak, with the very best intentions only to return a day or 2 later to a disgusting, unhygienic mess that I really didn't want to touch. Sometimes I would just walk off and leave it and hope that when I came back I'd have the energy to take those items out, soak them again and rinse them and wash them, hating every part of the process. This was Groundhog Day for me in the laundry, so I went looking for a solution that would make my laundry life easier....but there was nothing! I actually couldn't believe there was nothing! I told my husband about it and drew an idea of what I felt I needed. I needed an improved bucket! And if I needed it surely other mothers did too? And so the process began to develop my strainer bucket system....The Strucket! Having educated myself on the patent/trademark process to protect my design and teaming up with a designer who understood the challenges of bringing a product to the market, the journey began! And 2 years on I am here! Sometimes there have been doubts, wondering if I was crazy, wanting to throw in the towel and give up....but I couldn't because I just couldn't forget about all the mums and dads that must be struggling with soaking and those disgusting messes! Every time I was faced with a soaking mess, it pushed me further! Every time I saw another use for the Strucket and the potential of it being used in other areas of the home, it pushed me further again. So here we are at prototype stage of the product development and the next step is to manufacture! The tooling costs are high, around $240, 000 and we are seeking an investor with experience to take the Strucket as far as it can go! So we had to take the plunge and share the Strucket with YOU....to let the cat out of the bag and ask YOU if you want the Strucket in your home? Your kitchen? Would you take it camping? Fishing? Maybe you see uses for it we don't? Would different sizes help? I need your feedback, your comments, your questions because I created this product for YOU! And if you want this in your home, and you tell me here, my investor will make it happen. And what I offer you? That I will listen and act, deliver an outstanding, innovative, high quality, BPA friendly product. A product that will offer you hands free soaking, save you time, water and make a problem in your home disappear! And I will constantly remember who my customer is because I am the customer!
