I just want to let everyone know that The Gift of the Gown - Wide Bay has now closed permanently.
I want to thank each and every one of you who have donated items, and/or your time to assist in this program over the years.
The main reason for the closure, is the lack of support from our Fraser Coast and Wide Bay High Schools in sharing the program with their students that were struggling to attend their Formals.
That said, there were a few schools that wanted every student dressed by the Progam, which we did, as best as we could.
All of the Gowns and Suits, accessories, jewellery etc, that you have so generously donated, are currently being delivered to another program that does what we do, but on a much larger scale.
It is all going to Formally Ever After Qld Inc. in Beenleigh, Qld.
Please feel free to follow Tammy's page, as she does do call outs for various things that we, as a community, could possibly help with from afar.
Again, thank you so much for your donations and support over the years, and I know that there will be many young people looking and feeling super special wearing the items that we, as a community, donated.
I believe there will be a Formal Hire Business opening in the New Year, based in Tinana. Keep an eye on Facebook for details next year. I don't have any more information, sorry.
