Closed This Sunday

This Sunday, both The Light Café & Bookstore and Community Fellowship will be closed as we take the opportunity to come alongside and support another local ministry.

We believe there is something beautiful about the Body of Christ coming together—encouraging one another, supporting what God is doing across our community, and remembering that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.

Instead of gathering at The Light, we'll be attending the Deliverance & Healing Ministry afternoon at The Salvation Army, 100 Bazaar Street, Maryborough, from 1:30pm — and you're warmly invited to join us! 🙏

We'd love to see some familiar faces there as we gather together with others from across our community to support what God is doing.

We'll miss gathering with you at The Light this week, but we'll be back to our usual rhythm next week and would love to see you then!

Have you ever felt alone?

Maybe not physically, but in your heart. Like no one truly understands what you're carrying or sees the battle you're quietly fighting.

One of the most beautiful truths in Scripture is that there is nowhere you can go where God isn't already there.

Not in your highest moments.
Not in your deepest valleys.
Not in your questions, your failures, your grief, or your waiting.

His presence isn't something you have to earn, and it isn't something you can outrun.

Even when you can't feel Him, He is with you.
Even when you can't see the way forward, His hand is still leading you.
Even when you feel like you're barely holding on, His right hand is holding onto you.

My prayer for you is that you would become deeply aware of His presence today. That you would know, beyond every doubt, that you are fully seen, deeply loved, and never alone.

Wherever today finds you, may you find Him there too.

Loving on Local

This week, we REALLY want to love on the incredible crew at Coffee Tribe Espresso! ☕️🤎

Yes, the coffee is amazing. Yes, the food and treats are delicious. And yes, they absolutely know how to make a great brew! But for us, what makes Coffee Tribe truly special is the beautiful family and heart behind it.

This is a family-run local business that doesn't just serve our community — they genuinely show up for it. Time and time again, when there's an opportunity to support something local, lend a hand, get involved or simply encourage others, you'll see this crew putting their hands up and getting behind it. And we think that deserves to be celebrated!

There's a reason they're called a Tribe. 🤎 They have a way of making people feel welcomed, remembered and part of something. It's the friendly faces, the conversations, the laughs, the genuine care and that wonderful sense of community that turns grabbing a coffee into something a little more.

We absolutely LOVE seeing local families pour their hearts into not only building a great business, but building up the community around them too. Coffee Tribe, you guys are absolute local legends, and Maryborough is better for having you in it. 🫶

💙 Happy Father’s Day💙

Today we celebrate the dads, grandads, stepdads, foster dads, father figures, mentors, and all the incredible men who have chosen to love, guide, protect, encourage and simply show up.

Fatherhood is found in so many moments, in the hands that hold, the words that encourage, the wisdom shared, the sacrifices nobody sees, the laughter around the table, and the quiet reassurance of knowing someone is in your corner.

To the dads doing their very best — we see you.
To the men who have stepped into the gap and loved children as their own — we honour you.
To the grandfathers whose love and wisdom have shaped generations — we celebrate you.
And to those who are missing their dad today, longing to be a dad, grieving a child, or carrying a complicated story around Father’s Day — we hold space for you 🫶

And above all, today we give thanks for the heart of our Heavenly Father, the One whose love is steadfast, whose arms are always open, and who reminds us what it means to be deeply known and deeply loved.

May today be filled with laughter, treasured moments, good coffee, full hearts, and the reminder that sometimes the greatest legacy we leave is simply how well we loved.

This week we're showing some love to Addicted to B!

There's something pretty special about seeing local women take what they're passionate about and turn it into something that helps other people feel amazing — and that's exactly what you'll find at Addicted to B.

Founded by Brittany Johnston, she brings together talented local beauty artists with a genuine passion for making every person who walks through their doors feel seen, cared for and confident. From nails and lashes to brows, makeup, tanning and everything in between, there's plenty of talent happening under one roof!

But what we really love is the heart behind it. It's not simply about the treatment — it's about taking the time to understand each person, giving them that little bit of time to themselves, and sending them back out into the world feeling refreshed, confident and a little more radiant 🥰

We love seeing passionate local people building businesses, supporting one another and bringing something special to our community.
