One of the designs from our recent series, the Vase Design, has long been a favourite in Persian weaving.

In Persian art, the vase symbolises the earth, Mother Nature, and the Water of Life. From it grows a flourishing garden, expressing abundance, renewal, and the Persian vision of paradise. Here are five beautiful examples from our collection.

From mosque walls to woven ground, Persian design has always moved with ease between brick, tile, and knot. The faience mosaics of Tabriz’s Kaboud Mosque are one beautiful example of this shared visual language, echoed here in our Najaf Abad Tiles Carpet. Symmetry, geometry, and colour do not belong to one art form alone; they live across both architecture and weaving, each shaping the other across centuries.

There’s a reason Persian Gabbeh rugs have been cherished for generations. Handwoven from pure wool, their plush pile feels wonderfully soft underfoot, perfect for stretching out with a book, sharing a cup of tea, or creating a cosy place where little ones can sit, play, and imagine. Comfort, craftsmanship, and a rug you'll actually live with.

In a world of digital prints, these patterns still begin with carved wood, natural colour, and a craftsman's hand.

Our Isfahani Qalamkars are produced in a workshop with more than a century of experience, where every layer is printed by hand, and every piece reflects the enduring artistry of Persian block printing.

At the heart of this Qashqai rug lies a legendary moment that shaped the fate of a Persian king. Its rare medallion depicts Bahram V (Bahram Gur) battling one of the lions from the famous trial that won him the Persian crown. According to Persian legend, Bahram proposed the ordeal to end political division and prove his rightful claim to the throne. Rather than duel his rival, he chose to retrieve the royal crown placed between two lions. The scene symbolises courage, justice and rightful rule. Handwoven by Qashqai nomads, this rug is a woven expression of Persian history and legend.

Every Tacheh is a singular work. Woven for personal use rather than trade, these Persian textiles gave their makers complete freedom to experiment with colour, motifs, and weaving techniques. That individuality cannot be replicated, which is why authentic Tachehs are increasingly prized by collectors. Dyad Artisans is proud to present one of Australia's few curated collections.

The right rug is rarely chosen under gallery lights alone.

Our Service allows you to experience a handwoven piece where it truly belongs, among your furniture, your light, and the rhythm of everyday life.

This Gabbeh found its home exactly that way.

The following pieces are a few more colourful Gabbehs from our collection, each woven with the quiet character and joyful simplicity that make these rugs so enduring.

📍 Visit our Richmond gallery to explore the collection, or arrange a home trial to discover which piece feels right in your own space.
