Resilience isn’t just bouncing back. It’s building a way forward.
After 17 years in the support sector, I’ve learned this first-hand. Resilience isn’t in the big, dramatic moments — it’s in the everyday.
💡 It’s in the support workers who keep showing up after a tough shift.
💡 It’s in the leaders who hold steady when the system feels like it’s unravelling.
💡 It’s in participants who refuse to let their goals slip, even when the odds are stacked against them.
And truthfully? It’s in me too.
I’ve rebuilt services, stood in messy rosters at 11pm, navigated reforms that shifted the ground under my feet, and still found a way to keep moving.
That’s what resilience really looks like — not being unshaken, but knowing how to bend without breaking. And when you do it long enough, you become the blueprint. Others look to you — not because you had it easy, but because you kept going anyway.
👉 If you’re leading, supporting, or caring in this space — chances are, you’re already someone’s blueprint for resilience. Even if you don’t see it yet.
💬 For me, my blueprint was the women in this sector who showed me how to stay grounded while building something bigger than themselves. Who has been your blueprint for resilience?
