Richmond New Construction CASE STUDY:
Very Steep Roof (~35°) • Very tight space
***Challenge accepted.***
When other solar installers saw the pitch on this Richmond roof, they put it straight in the "too hard" basket. An active construction site combined with an extra-steep roof gradient meant standard install teams wouldn't touch it. But complex architectural builds and custom roof angles are exactly what our engineering team is built for. Here is how we made it happen for this new build in Richmond, VIC 3121
The Challenge:
Extreme roof pitch requiring precise scaffold integration • strict safety controls • and multi-stage coordination with the site builder • Internal wiring only
Stage 1 (Rough-in & Rooftop):
Worked alongside the builder's scaffolding to pre-wire and securely mount 10 x high-efficiency 440W LONGI Hi-MO 6 Scientist panels on custom tilt racking.
Stage 2 (Power & Commissioning):
Returned once permanent grid power was connected to install and commission the 5 kW single-phase inverter cleanly onto weatherboard cladding.
The System: 4.4 kW Premium Solar Array generating an estimated 4,034 kWh annually.
The Result:
Seamless integration into the house build without delaying trade timelines, zero roof damage, and a custom solar system ready on move-in day.
