Alyssa and I were invited to visit the Royal Australian Mint and had a great time meeting some of the team who make so many of the amazing coins which we all enjoy collecting.

We've just put up a conversation with Adam Ball who is the lead coin designer for the mint on our YouTube channel! There's a few more insightful interviews to come as well which we look forward to sharing with you all.

Struck from silver that had previously been held in the U.S. government’s strategic silver reserves and stored at the San Francisco Assay Office. This round was privately minted during the aftermath of the Hunt Brothers silver boom. The “CC” mintmark often mistaken for Carson City actually refers to California Crown Mint, a private California-based mint responsible for producing these nifty silver trade units.
