Thoughtful resources. Meaningful learning.

The right resources can do more than fill a learning space — they can create opportunities for children to explore ideas, build confidence, communicate, create and connect 🤝

From early literacy and wellbeing to STEM, creativity and hands-on discovery, we carefully consider how each resource can support meaningful learning outcomes through play ✨

Whether it’s encouraging storytelling, helping children understand emotions, inspiring problem-solving or giving them the freedom to create, every experience can become part of a bigger learning journey 🌈

At My Playroom, we bring together thoughtful resources, purposeful learning and inspiring spaces to support educators, children and communities every step of the way 🌱

Ocean Mammals 3-Part Cards 🐋

In Montessori, language moves naturally from the concrete to the abstract – connecting
real-world objects to imagery and spoken words long before a child ever reads or writes.

Here are a few ways we like to explore the Ocean Mammals 3-Part Cards through both
traditional work and play:

1. Object Matching: Pairing 3D figures to 2D cards to link real objects to imagery.

2. 3-Part Work: Isolating images and labels to build vocabulary and reading readiness.

3. Sensory Play: Bringing cards into an ocean tray alongside The Great Barrier Reef book.

Blending structured materials with open play lets children consolidate new language naturally
through their own curiosity.
