A big thank you to everyone for the support on the Yum Cha series; every like, comment, share, and order helps me so much and I’m so appreciative of you all!

In between making up your custom orders and when I have bits of offcuts, I done up a few button brooches and keyrings. I like having a stash of these in a rummage box for people to go through at markets, so consider that box topped up!

I have a Yum Cha session booked in for next weekend so this is also a reminder to myself to actually wear a few pieces for the occasion ☺️

The third and final colourway of the Yum Cha series, and I love this one just as much as I do the others; don’t ask me to choose a favourite 🫣

I would honestly walk a fair way for some egg tarts, mango pudding, and xiao long bao, right about now!

I’ll only have a handful of these ready-made brooches for sale at Brooches By The Bay. But I do have remnants of the fabric (for all three colour ways) available for custom orders. I’ll share photos of the fabrics when I have better lighting under which to take photos and, as always, you can DM me to create your very own selection of Yum Cha goodness 😋🥟😋

The second colourway of the Yum Cha series, featuring two of my favourite dishes that I always order: custard buns, and prawn and chive dumplings! I’m honestly so hungry when I look at these 🤤

Thank you everyone for your support and interest in this print, it makes me so happy that you love these as much as I do 🥰

So excited to share the third colourway tomorrow 🙊

Growing up in an Asian household, I have extremely fond memories of going to Yum Cha with my parents and friends on Sundays. So, you can probably imagine my utter excitement when I found this fabric, featuring a few iconic Yum Cha dishes - siu mai, barbecue pork buns, har gow, and, of course, egg tarts!

This is the first colour out of three, and I can’t wait to show you the other two colourways!

A small batch of these embroidery board brooches will be coming with me to Brooches By The Bay. Or, if you can’t make it on the day, you can DM me ☺️

An order that came through the other day reminded me that this fabric was suuuper fun and versatile to work with. A few of these found new homes when I brought them to BBTB in 2024; perhaps I’ll do a little restock this year 🤔

Happy Alice In Wonderland Day! 💙💛🌸💙💛

It’s a surprise to nobody that she is a favourite around here. I considered sharing photos of all the Alice pieces I’ve made over the years but there were simply too many to choose from and I’d be scrolling through my photo album all day trying to find them all 😅

So, here is one of my favourite Alice fabrics 🥰

These pendant brooches were made especially for Brooches By The Bay last year. And, even though I’ve been extremely quiet on the social media front, I’ve been working away prepping for BBTB this year. Not long to go now, have you got your tickets?

Charlie may not agree with this but there is no such thing as too many cat fabrics 😻 I received a small piece of this as a free gift when I made a purchase at a fabric store in Hobart, back in November last year. And the print is purr-fect for the OG mini embroidery boards. I haven’t decided if these should be finished off as mini brooches or necklaces, so I’ll leave that decision up to whoever decides to give these kitties a new home ☺️

Hi, it’s been a while 👋🏻

Gosh the year is flying - what do you mean it’s May?! I’m still here, albeit a tad quiet, working on a few things and, at the same time, manifesting a trip to Japan 💭✈️🇯🇵

These button brooches are made from a treasured stash of fabrics from Japan that I FINALLY decided to cut up. They may be / will definitely be coming with me to Brooches By the Bay in October 👀 But if you can’t wait that long, they’re available to purchase via DM. They come as a set of three and you can, of course, opt to choose your own print ☺️

Hi 👋🏻

Decided that this outfit photo from my work Christmas party and a close up of the necklace I wore (taken at a different time, against the perfect backdrop) deserved a spot on the grid. I’m an outfit repeater and these are all my favourite pieces, especially for events that call for something dressier than overalls 🥰

In other new, prep for Brooches By the Bay is well underway 👏🏻 I will be restocking some sold out pieces and will finally cut into a pile of treasured scraps that I have been hoarding/collecting. Here’s a clue: 🇯🇵

Who will I see at BBTB?
