By role modeling problem solving behaviours with your child, your showcasing a key skill that will live with them a lifetime - that’s why I love puzzles!

The 5 shape stacker here has Mahli building her problem solving skills, but also working on fine motor skills, colour and shape recognition, and working on ‘finishing’ an activity.

Mahli really likes me nearby for now, but by boosting her confidence and skills through PLAY, we’re working on her independence (which is coming in handy with a newborn 👶) 🩷

Where should I start?

A common question when looking for purposeful and educational toys.

If you want to build focus, fine motor skills and support colour and shape recognition with your young one then wooden puzzles are a great place to start!

Now I’m a big advocate for open ended resources and play, but ‘finishing’ activities also serve a huge purpose - I mean how good does it feel when you finish a task? Now multiply that feeling for your littlest loves - how happy will they be?!!
