Seeing things from your kids' point of view is crucial for effective communication and building a strong relationship with them.
While it might seem trivial to you, it can be intensely important to our kids!
It requires us as parents/carers to take the time to practise active listening, and give them the space to be heard and explain things from their perspective. We need to learn to set aside our own opinions and assumptions to truly understand where they are coming from, in order to acknowledge their feelings and thoughts, even if they differ from our own.
By taking the time to understand your kids' point of view, you can foster open communication, build trust, and create a more positive and supportive family dynamic!
Though easier said than done sometimes.
Is this something you struggle with or do you perhaps have some helpful tips?
