Attention Victorians, this petition needs your support to stand with our farmers.
Many people don’t realise what is happening across regional Victoria. Farmers who have sacrificed their lives, families, and futures to feed this country are being pushed to breaking point. These are hardworking Australians who work 7 days a week on land that has often been in their families for generations.
The Victorian Government continues to place financial pressure and obstacles on farmers, while allowing electricity towers and infrastructure projects to move ahead on private farmland without proper consultation. Service workers are being given access to properties unannounced to cut, install, and carry out works on land that farmers own and care for. If farmers refuse, they can face fines, court action, or even arrest.
This is not just about farmland. This is about food security, families, livelihoods, and the future of our country.
Imagine if someone entered your home, raised your rates, bills, and costs until you could no longer afford to stay, then expected you to sell your property for less than it’s worth. That is how many farming families feel right now.
