🍷✨ Handcrafted by Lucy Boyd Beck ✨🍷

These striking terracotta goblets, finished with flowing green glaze, are the work of Lucy Boyd Beck (1916–2009) — a distinguished Australian potter and member of the renowned Boyd artistic dynasty.

Daughter of Merric and Doris Boyd, Lucy grew up immersed in Australia’s most famous pottery family, whose influence shaped modern Australian art and ceramics. She later worked alongside her husband, Hatton Beck, establishing a studio that produced playful, expressive, and highly collectible ceramics. Her work is admired for its originality and its place within the broader Boyd legacy of painting, pottery, and sculpture.

Functional yet beautiful, these goblets embody the unique spirit of mid-century studio pottery.

An extraordinary pair of Royal Worcester Japanese-style porcelain vases, circa 1877.

🐾 Meet Sylvester, our resident studio supervisor — always keeping a watchful eye on the daily goings-on at TMC.

It’s never a quiet day here, with a little menagerie of local birds dropping by to share the space. Magpies, lorikeets, and even the occasional honeyeater wander through — each with their own sense of entitlement when it comes to the “pecking order.”

Life in the studio is as much about clay and collecting as it is about sharing the environment with our feathered (and furry) friends. 🌿✨
