Secure your speakers and unbind your mind - Standing On The Corner have a new album in the racks.
Founded in Brooklyn, NY, STANDING ON THE CORNER (est. 2015) is a recording group whose work moves fluidly between performance, film, installation, and sound.

Rooted in the cultural exchange between the USA, Puerto Rico, and Africa, the project is an evolving intersection between soul, punk, salsa, doowop, jazz, funk, avant-garde, and rap traditions, filtered through a distinctly New York sensibility.

On SOTC “II” the New York outfit channels this philosophy into a 15-track album recorded by bandleader Gio Escobar, core collaborators Jack “Moonjohn” Nolan, Buz “Manman” Donald, and Clérida “Ca$h Clay” Eltime, alongside special guest hustlers Solange, Danny Brown, Styles P and more. The result is a tense, genre-shredding record that exists between blitzed psychedelia, rock-n-roll, no-wave rap, rnb, and post-hardcore energy.

TODAY FROM 5PM, we are honoured to host a listening party for Haruomi Hosono’s new album, “Yours Sincerely”. The album will be available to purchase at the Listening Party 😀

We will give away Sincerely Stamps (stickers) and provide “Yours Sincerely” letterhead paper so you can write letters to Hosono. A QR code will be available to send your thoughts on the music directly to Hosono during the listening party.

Two “Yours Sincerely” tote bags will be raffled at the event.

This album features a startlingly unique collaboration between Avenaim’s proprietary S.A.R.P.S. (Semi Automated Percussion System) and Melbourne’s iconic public sound sculpture the Federation Bells.
Avenaim melds with his unique human / machine interface to draw intricate, delicate textures from drums, percussion, bells and piano to create an album of yearning melancholy and dynamic tonal exploration.

“Psychedelia in White” is the seriously stunning new album by Mick Harvey and collaborator Amanda Acevedo. Composed chiefly of original tracks - with some iadroitly chosen interpretations - the album explores themes of mysticism, mythology, love, and loss. Then there’s the astonishing sonic settings for each song: One moment you are pushed around in a maelstrom of sound and the next you are being borne by a gorgeous melody that Tim Buckley or Laura Nyro forgot to record.

Chapter Music’s magnificent Can’t Stop It! II - Australian Post Punk 1979-84 (2026 Deluxe Edition) vividly recalls Late Nites presenting or listening to student radio programmes featuring tracks by Tactics, Severed Heads and Ya Ya Choral followed by days combing independent record stores looking for 45s and EPs by the likes of Essendon Airport, Scattered Order, Tiny Town and other exotic gifts from what seemed like astrange and endlessly fascinating other world (aka the Eastern states). There’s a lot to be remembered here and just as much to be discovered. Bravo, Chapter Music ❤️🙏

Massive Attack and Tom Waits unleash their powerful anti-totalitarian collaboration, ‘Boots on the Ground’, paired with an exclusive to vinyl B-side provided by Waits – a spoken word piece entitled “The Fly”

In keeping with the band’s sector leading efforts to reduce carbon emissions across both live activity and recorded output, Massive Attack have produced an ‘EcoSonic’ pressing. Manufactured using 100% recycled PET (rPET) rather than traditional PVC, the record is fully recyclable and produced via an energy-efficient injection moulding process with sleeves made from 100% recycled, FSC®-certified paper stock and outer slipcases produced from recycled polyethylene.

This is a limited edition release and copies are available now at Rocksteady Records
