It’s never easy to be a bearer of sad news but our dear Marg/Margaret Barker passed away last Wednesday…….a lot of you will have met Marg over the years as she attended many quilt groups and sit and sews

I met Marg not soon after I opened Nuno Nuno and Marg and her stitching friend Anna came weekly for a private sit and sew for the time the shop was open and then she was so supportive when I started the Nuno Nuno Stitch Together Gathering and came to the first 3 events but sadly didn’t show up for the last one as she was in ICU and then passed away a few days later……..

I will miss her friendship, encouragement, frankness, positivity and her ability to make you laugh……and she was a very talented stitcher but ever so humble ☺️

I have shared some of her projects that I have taken photo’s of over the years……..
Our thoughts are with her husband Peter, children and grand children whom she adored….

We will miss you Marg….RIP

🪡🧵 Another fabulous day was had at the NUNO NUNO STITCH TOGETHER Gathering with so much chatter, laughter and stitching inspiration in the room 😍

Thank you to everyone who attended and I hope for those few that didnt attend, as they were unwell, that you are recovering and will be back stitching soon……HUGE thank you to PETA from who had a fabulous assortment of so many sewing trinkets, notions, tins, vintage textiles and so many more goodies……

And at next months Gathering we will welcome YASMITA from Yazzii Organizers & Bags as the GUEST TRADER……and as Yasmita has said all good things must come to an end and sadly has announced her retirement but the bonus is Yasmita will have lots of discounts on her awesome crafting and travel storage bags that come in so many shapes and sizes 👍 😄

Another thank you to Claudia for being such a trouper helping me set up the tables and transporting stock backwards and forwards and to Siska Prabonowati Dart also assisting with transporting and to everyone who helps on the day with setting up, packing up and for the yummy baked treats……you guys rock as I couldn’t do this without your support 💋🤗

Let’s do it all again on the 3rd October 😃

🐰Liberty have done it again……How adorable is this Miffy design in beautiful Liberty Tana Lawn……created by the illustrator Dick Bruna, Miffy was first introduced in Japan in 1964 and the Liberty design studio have reimagined Bruna’s designs and made these sweet fabrics 🥹

The curated selection of the 3 colourways in MIFFY PRAIRIE DAY are now available in fat sixteenths bundle, eighths bundle and quarters or meterage…..Printed in Japan at 110cm Wide

🇯🇵It’s been a great start to the week with a fabric delivery arriving from SEVENBERRY Japan with a re-stock of some traditional favourites and a new ASANOHA (H**p Leaf) design in a fabulous red colourway in a Dobby weave ❤️🏮 …….

Depending on how much time (there is a lot to organise) I have before next Saturday’s NUNO NUNO STITCH TOGETHER Gathering I will try my best to cut and make bundles and will definitely be bringing along fat quarters on the day……but of course these fabrics are all available to order ONLINE (Link in the BIO) for those who can’t attend or need metreage 📏

🪡🧵🧶 Just over a week to go to the 4th NUNO NUNO STITCH TOGETHER Gathering……we have quite a few groups of friends that have booked tables to stitch and enjoy each others company together and there a still a few seats available……

Also, just a reminder, if you are lacking space at home to baste a quilt or cut out clothing patterns, at the Nuno Nuno Stitch Together Gathering you can request a table, when booking, to get any large cutting, basting job done that requires an area larger than your dining table 😃

For those peeps that are only just finding out about this DAY RETREAT - STITCH TOGETHER Gathering here is a little explanation about this fun event 😃 for all Sewers, Patchworkers, Knitters, Crocheters, Embroiderers, Slow Stitchers, Appliquers and Crafters…….
