Did you know these toxic ingredients are in most popular sunscreens?

I had never thought about what nasty ingredients were in my sunscreen!

Some of the toxic ingredients listed that are still in sunscreens today are known to absorb into the skin in large amounts and have been found in breast milk, amniotic fluid, urine and blood.

Some of these ingredients aren’t reef safe either!

SHAMPOO BARS 🌿

Today I tried my first Shampoo Bar!

Out of all the swaps I have done, this has been one I was definitely putting off. As someone who colours there hair, I have always used salon quality hair products and continued to do so, so my hairdresser didn’t tell me off 🤣

BUT, every time I run out, the guilt of buying more in plastic bottles makes me 🤢

It also hasn’t helped that every time I’ve gone to buy a shampoo bar, the reviews are very good and very bad! Haha

Yesterday I took the plunge and purchased one as I ran out of my regular shampoo.

I washed my hair this morning, and my first thoughts are….. no complaints!! My hair feels and looks very clean, smells good and it’s soft!

Will use up this block and let you know my final thoughts at the end 🥰

I purchased this block from my local coles for $10 🌿

Next step: try a conditioner bar!

Can I get a woop woop 🙌🏼😄

As a fellow Kiwi this is such exciting and amazing news!!!

New Zealand are hopping on the bandwagon to say goodbye 👋🏼 to single-use plastics such as ⤵️

Plastic plates, cutlery, bowls, produce bags, PVC meat trays, polystyrene takeaway packaging, non-compostable fruit stickers, cotton buds, plastic straws and more!

Their aim is to complete the phase out my 2025, let’s cross our fingers that they are phased out even earlier! 🤞🏼
