This Beard Trailhead roundneck resonator guitar has just arrived and it shows clearly why this company has the reputation that it has for making some the worlds finest resonators. The Trailhead is loud but smooth in it's tone with no nasty spikes in overtones that could be described by some as "tinnie".

Have been waiting a while for the first Beard resonators to arrive but they were well worth waiting for. Their resonator guitars have a well earned reputation and it's very easy to hear why. This Deco Phonic Model 57 also has a Fishman pick-up fitted.

Having finally moved Guitar Gallery up to the next level at 38A Johnston Street. I have a little time to take stock of my latest acquisitions. One Santa Cruz, Two US Northfields, Three Pisgah Roscoes, Four CC Gold Tones.. and a Partridge.. etc.
Also expecting two Paul Beard guitars due this month. Exciting times at 38A.

Pisgah are making finely crafted old time banjos in Asheville, North Carolina. This Rambler has some unique designs featuring a stainless steel spun-over rim similar to early Stewarts but being stainless, this banjo will not warp over the years like so many of those old banjos have.
Due to the stainless rim, Pisgah say that you can remove the Dobson ring should the mood take you. I guess that's one way to hear what a Dobson ring actually does. The choice of stainless, brass and copper is also pretty cool.
