Three things that quietly eat your burn time. 🤍

Number one is the wick. An untrimmed wick burns bigger and hotter, which means it gets through wax faster and leaves soot on the glass. 5mm before every single burn.

Number two is the long burn. Past about 4 hours the wick starts carboning up and the flame grows with it. Put it out and relight it later.

Number three is blowing it out. It scatters hot wax and leaves the wick bent and smoking. A snuffer takes a second and keeps the wick straight for next time.

None of this makes a candle better. It just stops you wasting the one you already have.
