And that’s a wrap on our Make & Takes at the Craft & Quilt Fair Melbourne! 🧵✨

Here are the last of the creations from our sessions, and once again, just look at those gorgeous colour choices! 😍 I absolutely love seeing how everyone puts their own spin on their project. The different combinations of felted wool circles and threads always make each one completely unique.

I’m a little late sharing these photos… but I have a very good excuse! Sunday was spent celebrating my niece Luella’s 21st birthday 🎂 such a special day with family.

And now the bags are packed again because today I’m off to Sydney for Quilt NSW! ✈️🧵

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in Melbourne for a Make & Take, stopped by the stand, had a chat or shared some creative inspiration. It was such a fabulous few days.

I always love seeing how everyone takes the same starting point and makes it their own, so many gorgeous colour combinations and lots of happy stitching happening around the table.

What a fabulous day at the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair! 🧵

We had such a fun and busy day on the WonderFil stand, with lots of chatting, stitching and creativity happening all day long.

Our Make & Take session in the classroom was loads of fun. I always love seeing everyone’s colour choices and watching their projects come to life. Thank you to everyone who joined me for a little stitching! 🪡💗

And making the day even more special, I had my wonderful friend and fellow WonderFil designer Aitor Saraiba joining us on the stand, signing copies of his beautiful book Embroider, Mend & Sew. 📚 It was so lovely having Aitor with us and introducing him to so many Aussie stitchers!

Such a great first day, and we get to do it all again! If you’re visiting the show, make sure you come and say hello, you’ll find us at the WonderFil Australia stand B10. 💕

A little more 3D Flower Bloom stitching happening here… 🌸

This time I’m creating something a little special, a Georgia Clutch to take to a wedding in a couple of weeks! 💕

When I visited Artistic Artifacts recently, I couldn’t resist this beautiful printed silk ribbon, and I’ve been waiting for just the right project to use it on. I’m pairing it with a gorgeous piece of silk from Jenny Bee Quilting and, of course, adding a few extra embellishments along the way.

There’s a little of WonderFil’s felted wool, along with Razzle and Dazzle threads for some gorgeous texture and just the right amount of sparkle. ✨

I’m loving how all these different textures are coming together, silk, wool, ribbon and beautiful threads… and I have a feeling there may be a little more embellishing before I declare this Georgia Clutch finished! 😂

After all, if you can’t add a little extra bling to a clutch for a wedding, when can you? 💕🌸

I’m already busy planning classes for next year!

I’ve been having a little play with WonderFil’s NEW Appliqué Templates, doing some fussy cutting, experimenting with different fabrics… and of course, adding a little embroidery and embellishment along the way. 🧵✂️

I do love this part of the process, playing, experimenting and seeing where an idea takes me. And I have to say, I’m rather excited about how this one is coming together!

Could this be a little peek at a new class for 2027? 👀

🇪🇸 We’re welcoming a very special visitor to Melbourne next week! 🇦🇺

I’m so excited to welcome my fellow WonderFil Designer, Aitor, to Melbourne for the Craft & Quilt Fair!

Aitor is a very well-known Spanish textile artist, and he’ll be joining us on the WonderFil Australia Stand B10 on Wednesday 9th, the first day of the show.

Even more exciting, his beautiful book Embroider, Mend & Sew is being released in English for the very first time! 📚🧵

If you’d like to have your copy signed by Aitor, simply:

It’s been lovely being home and spending the weekend catching up with family… and, of course, catching up on the mountain of washing that comes with being away! 😂

But amongst all of that, I did manage to squeeze in a little creative time and finish embellishing the Glasses Case that I started before beginning my journey home.

It felt so good to sit and stitch again and even better to finally finish this one!

And yes… I can finally say that our Glasses Cases will be available to purchase very soon! 🎉👓

I know, I know… they’ve been a long time coming 😂 but I really do think they’ll be worth the wait! I’m already dreaming up all the different ways we can embellish them. 💕

Oh and this one was embellished with some gorgeous Indian prints I purchased from jenny_bee_quilts

A little stitching while I wait for my flight home… ✈️🧵💕

What an absolutely fabulous few weeks it has been! I’ve travelled plenty of miles, taught some wonderful classes, shared lots of Make & Take sessions and, best of all, met so many truly lovely people along the way.

I’ve loved seeing everyone’s creativity come to life, the colour choices, the stitching, the embellishing and all those little individual touches that make every project completely unique. It really is one of my favourite parts of what I do. 💗

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to a class, joined me for a Make & Take, stopped by for a chat or simply came to say hello. You’ve all helped make this trip such a memorable one.

But for now… one last little bit of stitching at the airport before it’s time to board that flight and head HOME to Melbourne! 🇦🇺✈️

I have a feeling there might be quite a few new ideas coming home with me too… 😉🧵

Looking back through all these photos has reminded me just how much I enjoyed these sessions. So many fabulous colour combinations, lots of stitching, plenty of chatting and, most importantly, so many lovely ladies around the table.
