It was horrible to wake up to the news this morning and immediately start calling my family and our Casa Bonita team to make sure everyone was safe.

The earthquake’s epicentre was in central-western Colombia, and Bogotá was also strongly affected.

I was especially worried about Luz Marina, our Fique light shade Artisan partner. She lives around four hours from Bogotá. Thankfully, she is safe, and her daughters who live in Bogotá are safe too. 🙏🏽

Las Juanitas, our Iraca Palm Artisan partners in the south of Colombia, felt the earthquake strongly. Thankfully, everyone is safe and there was no damage to their buildings.

Astrid and our La Chamba families are also safe, as are our other Artisan partners 🙏🏽✨

Feeling very grateful tonight that our Casa Bonita Artisan families and their loved ones are safe. 🇨🇴❤️

At the same time, our hearts are with every family and community affected by the earthquake. We are thinking of those facing damage, uncertainty and difficult days ahead 🙏🏽🇨🇴❤️
