A mecca for fresh produce and hard-to-find ingredients, Dandenong Market attracts over 4 million visitors a year who seek out authentic, fresh produce. With over 200 market traders spread out over 8000 square metres, Dandenong Market offers everything from honeycomb fresh from the beehive, to flowers cut straight from the farm, to apples picked from the orchard.

Just a reminder Dandenong Market remains OPEN ✅ while the Bazaar is temporarily closed for renovations 👷

To help you plan your visit, here's a refresher on our opening hours 🕒

Tuesday: 7am-4pm
Friday: 7am–4pm
Saturday: 7am–4pm
Sunday: 9am–4pm

The Bazaar renovations will take 5-6 weeks. During this time, the main entrance to the Market on Clow St will be unavailable. Please enter via Cleeland Street or King Street.

No, Dandenong Market isn't closing.

We get it. Maybe you saw a post mentioning "closure" or "renovations" happening at the Market.

Maybe a friend mentioned the whole place was getting a face lift.

And we've seen our own fair share of comments. So we wanted to clear things up.

✅ Dandenong Market is staying open
✅ Our fresh food, meat, seafood, deli, pantry, and other specialty traders are staying open
✅ The Market will continue trading as usual

The only change?
👉The Bazaar (General Merchandise Hall) is temporarily closing, from Monday 21 September, while we complete renovations in that area.

The works are expected to take 5-6 weeks, and we'll keep you updated throughout the process.

We repeat, only the Bazaar is closing, temporarily.

The Market isn't.

Trading days remain Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

We'll keep you posted every step of the way, including when the exciting new space is ready to reveal.
