Better angler access is on the horizon at Navan Park Lake in Melton with the installation of a second fishing platform. The work will be done by Melton City Council using a grant from your fishing licence fees. 

We’ve been stocking the lake with rainbow trout, Murray cod and silver perch to sweeten the deal as part of our record-breaking stocking program that’s released 10 million fish in 3 of the last 4 seasons. 

The project is one of 20 that recently shared in more than $2 million through the latest round of the Recreational Fishing Grants Program, which is open again until 28 February 2026.
