A surprise discovery about our potion kits this year… is how much Grandparents love them (thanks to all their lovely reviews and emails).

We really shouldn’t have been surprised though.. Our mum loves making potions with our kids. It reminds her of a time when she was younger and when we were little. When toys were easier to play with. No tech that she can’t understand. The nostalgia of a childhood spent outside adventuring. The same reason we love making potions too, and the same reason we started this company.

All generations love make believe, magic and potion play. I bet you made potions as a kid. Your parents probably did too!

Thanks to our mum for recording this gorgeous video with my daughter. It really was special and I love being able to have a keepsake of this special time together. I highly recommend videoing your child making potions with their grandparent. It’s a memory that you will all remember 🥰

One of our favourite parts of creating a new potion kit has always been sitting down together and dreaming up the spells, stories and affirmations behind it.

there’s usually a lot of laughter, a lot of "imagining how a choc would read it”, and a whole lot of me (Jacinta) always be silly and cracking jokes.

But in all the fun, we also ask the same questions for every spell and affirmation:

✨ “How do we want children to feel when they make this potion?” ✨

Brave? Curious? Calm? Adventurous? Confident? Full of wonder?

This new kit has seriously been one of the most magical we’ve ever worked on, and keeping all these little details secret is getting VERY difficult now 👀
