The Losi 5IVE-T earned its reputation by setting the standard for large scale gasoline RC. The new 5IVE-T 3.0 stays true to that heritage while upgrading nearly every part of the driving and ownership experience.
Its new Fujiwara FJ350RC engine is based around the legendary Zenoah G320, but increases displacement to 35.2cc with a larger bore. The result is increased torque and power throughout the range, with the biggest improvements felt through the low and midrange.
Handling that additional performance are new 32mm big bore shocks with increased oil capacity and improved damping. Tapered pistons increase pack while providing a quicker, more controlled rebound to help keep the truck planted and improve traction. Updated 43/12 ring and pinion gears and a 67T spur gear have also been selected to get this larger, more powerful truck moving.
The 5IVE-T 3.0 replaces its previous polycarbonate panels with ultra durable injection molded body panels. They are designed to flex and absorb impacts, while their uniform thickness increases strength by eliminating the thin spots that can occur during traditional molding.
It is also now fully ready to run. The included Spektrum DX3 transmitter, SR615 receiver, receiver batteries and large scale servos mean there is no additional radio to purchase and no binding process to complete. The new SPMSS1000MT steering servo delivers 1,000 oz-in of torque, with a metal top case that helps align the gears and draw heat away from the servo motor.
Even maintenance has been improved. The redesigned center differential mount allows the differential to be accessed by removing the center top plate while leaving the brakes and linkage intact.
