BEAKS and GEEKS, a film by Kurt Wilson Films in collaboration with Fly Fishing Outfitters, follows the quest to catch one of fly fishing's most elusive and challenging species: The Parrotfish.
Deep in the remote coral wilderness of Western Australia, Angus and Johannes set out on a mission that has pushed even the most experienced fly anglers to their limits. Armed with fly rods, stubborn determination, and perhaps a touch of madness, they attempt to make fly fishing history by capturing wild parrotfish on film.
Known for their vivid colours, crushing beaks, blistering runs, and ability to shred leaders against razor-sharp coral, parrotfish are a species that can humble even the best anglers. Days of frustration, brutal conditions, snapped tippets, and near misses test the pair at every turn.
Featuring spectacular aerial footage, breathtaking landscapes, and a fishery unlike anywhere else on earth, BEAKS and GEEKS is a fly-fishing adventure that showcases both the beauty and obsession that drive anglers to chase the impossible.
Will the struggle, setbacks, and sacrifices be worth it in the end? Watch and find out.
