🌧️🔥 RAIN ON THE WAY — WOOD UNDERCOVER 🔥🌧️

With rain forecast for Mildura tomorrow, we've spent some time getting our split firewood tucked away where it belongs.

Our tautliner is now in position, with shuttles of split firewood weighed, stored undercover and ready for dispatch. 🪵

For us, this is a big part of how we want to operate R&D WALDRON FIREWOOD.

We don't just want to have firewood available — we want to have processed stock sitting ready to go and protected from the weather, so when an order comes in, we can get it moving.

Have a look at the size of this bloody thing… 👀

Amongst our latest load was this absolute monster of a Red Box log — roughly 4 metres long and certainly one of the bigger ones we've brought back to Mildura.

So before the saw gets anywhere near it, we're going to have a bit of fun.

🚛 WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS! 🔥
After weeks of chasing suppliers, watching the weather and waiting for paddocks to dry out, we're excited to say the first load of logs is finally back at RD Waldron Firewood!
It's 6:30 pm, and while most people are heading home, we're unloading the truck under lights so we can get straight into cutting and splitting first thing tomorrow morning.
With more rain forecast over the coming days, we weren't about to waste a good evening. Every log we unload tonight gives us a head start on getting quality firewood back into your homes.
If all goes to plan, deliveries will recommence this weekend, with Sunday likely to be our main delivery day as we work through our order list.

Thanks again to everyone for sticking with us through the recent weather delays. We're excited to be back doing what we love—and this is just the beginning, with more supply already lined up for the weeks ahead.

🔥 WE'RE BACK ON DECK! 🔥

We've got some great news!

After a few weeks of chasing suppliers, waiting on the weather and securing our next load, our truck is booked to collect logs this Thursday! 🚛🌳

Once they're back at the yard, we'll be straight into cutting, splitting and getting everything processed. If all goes to plan, we'll be looking to kick deliveries off again this weekend, with the majority likely to head out on Sunday.

If you've been waiting for firewood, now's the time to get in touch. We'll continue working through our delivery list in the order enquiries come in, so send us a message and we'll get you booked in.

A massive thank you to everyone who has been patient while we've worked through the recent delays. We've spent this time strengthening our supply network, and we're excited to be getting back to doing what we do best.

🔥 Firewood Supply Update 🔥

We'd like to keep everyone updated on where things are at.

We've now secured another supplier, with our next load of logs ready to go. Unfortunately, due to the recent wet weather, access is still too soft to safely get the trucks into the paddock. At this stage, we're expecting those logs to be approximately two weeks away from being processed and delivered to our customers.

In the meantime, our primary supplier is also assessing paddock conditions and preparing another load. As many people know, having logs ready is one thing—but getting a loaded truck safely into and out of a paddock is another. Unfortunately, that's something the weather controls, not us.

The good news is we're not standing still. We're actively working on two additional supply options to strengthen our network, increase reliability and reduce the chances of future supply interruptions.

If you're looking for firewood over the coming weeks, please get in touch now. We'll add your name to our delivery list and work through orders as stock becomes available. Taking orders in advance also helps us plan our production and deliveries more efficiently.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and support while we work through the weather. Our focus isn't just on getting timber for today—it's on building a reliable, long-term supply network so we can continue providing quality firewood to the Mildura region for many years to come.

A bit of good news and bad news from us today...

We headed away today to inspect and secure our next load of timber, and we're happy to say we've locked in another supplier for RD Waldron Firewood. This gives us another reliable stream of logs and helps strengthen our supply going forward, which is great news for us and our customers.

The only downside is Mother Nature hasn't quite played her part. The ground is still too wet to safely get the trucks in and load, so we'll need a few dry days before we can bring the timber home.

While it means a small delay in getting this load back, we're really happy to be expanding our supply network to help keep quality firewood coming into Mildura.

If you're chasing firewood, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We're now taking names for our next round of deliveries, and we'll add you to our list. As soon as this load is back, processed and ready to go, we'll be working through the list as quickly as possible.

We really appreciate everyone's patience and continued support. It's all part of building a stronger, more reliable supply for the years ahead, and we can't wait to get this next load home.

🔥 Quick Firewood Update 🔥

Well... the weather's got us this time. 🌧️

Our log suppliers have been absolutely smashed with rain, so they can't get into the paddocks to load us up. Unfortunately, that means we've temporarily run out of firewood.

At this stage we're hoping it'll only be around 2 weeks, but as anyone in the bush knows, the weather calls the shots.

The boys are chasing a few other options in the meantime, so if we can get our hands on some timber sooner, we definitely will.

If you've already got an order in with us, don't stress—you're looked after. We'll make sure those orders are filled.

For any new orders, we'll either have to politely say "not just yet," or we can throw your name on a waiting list and you'll be first in line once we're back up and running.

We really appreciate everyone's patience and support. We'd rather be straight up with everyone than make promises we can't keep.

We'll keep you all posted as soon as we've got more timber rolling into the yard.

⚠️ CUSTOMER UPDATE ⚠️

With the forecast wet weather over the coming days, we've made the decision to temporarily limit our cutting and splitting operations.

The safety of our team is our priority, and wet conditions also make it difficult for us to maintain the quality standards we pride ourselves on.

✅ All existing orders that have already been accepted will be processed and fulfilled as planned over the coming weekend.

🪵 We are still accepting new orders, however they will be added to our production schedule and processed as soon as conditions return to being safe and suitable for cutting, splitting and handling firewood.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the weather. We'd rather take a little extra time than compromise on safety or the quality of the firewood you receive.

Thank you again for your continued support of our small family business. We look forward to getting back into full production as soon as the weather allows. 🔥🪵
