It’s looking a lot like Christmas.
Gift shopping has been a labour of love this year without the store. I hope everyone found what they were after, I’ve managed to discover a few new little stores but I have to say we have missed our customers and all the wrapping!

For those who enjoy cake decorating, I know it’s hard to find many of the products as so many of these store have closed down. Mortdale Wholesalers carry a great range of cake tins, Americolor gel colours, piping nozzles etc. New to the store is the Loyal brand for cake decoration, made in Australia…

Dear friends, it’s been ages since I’ve caught up with anyone. Only managed to get to the centre once since closing. I hear the store is still empty which is a great disappointment!
It’s been hectic having my beautiful grandkids living with us three nights a week, I think I’ve managed to catch every bug known to mankind! Just getting over the latest one.
I hope everyone is well and will endeavour to get there as soon as the coughing, sneezing etc passes.
Meanwhile I’ve been enjoying baking at home, trying my hand at decorating…

Well, retirement has its upsides and downsides - lots of adjusting. I find that having no set routine is a challenge, I barely remember what day of the week it is as opposed to constantly running to a schedule. It’s both relaxing and disconcerting. How did everyone else find the change in routine?
