The weather has been pretty average lately with plenty of rain, wind and swell rolling through 🌧️🌊 But the fish are still biting.

Pittwater and Sydney Harbour are carrying some dirty water at the moment, although the kingfish are still hanging around and there’s been a solid push of trevally moving in too 🎣

The beaches have been heavily churned up from the recent swell, but there are some quality gutters forming up and they’re definitely worth a fish. Some XL tailor have been showing up in the deeper gutters for those putting in the time.

Conditions might not look perfect — but there are still good fish to be caught if you pick your windows 👌

Winter is fast approaching in Sydney, but the fishing is still firing across the harbour, Pittwater, and the Hawkesbury. Cooler water temperatures haven’t slowed the action, with solid numbers of kingfish, jewfish, and large squid still being caught. While surface activity has eased in Pittwater and the Hawkesbury, consistent hairtail and jewfish bites are keeping anglers busy. Meanwhile, Sydney’s local beaches are producing exceptional whiting fishing, with fish up to 40cm being landed regularly.
