Hello Monty friends and Craft and Vine customers, it’s Cat here. With Rick’s permission, I am briefly popping my face here to say a few words of gratitude as the shop is only a day away from closure.

About 4 months ago Rick took me in and gave me a job as shop assistant and it came as a blessing to me in that moment. I only had a couple of shifts in the quieter times of our trading hours, so some of you might never have seen me before, but in my short time at my Craft & Vine I have thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills, serving lovely customers, having nice chats and making new connections in the community.

I am still far from being a sommelier but I have relished the opportunity to use my creativity in the shop, adding a ‘French touch’ here and there, and being a smiley face for anyone who needed it.

For all of this I want to say a huge thank you to Rick for trusting me with the operations, I have nothing but great memories from this experience with you Rick! And to all of you who have given love and support when it was most needed, thank you!

This picture of me was taken with the intention to introduce myself as a more permanent addition to the business, but with a broken heart I am now using it to say goodbye. I am a Monty resident so our paths may cross again, until then I will be back to my main occupation of illustrator and designer. I made this little illustration to celebrate my time at the shop meeting you all. 😊 If you would like to find me on my art page, I would be very happy to see you there!

Dear Valued Customers and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our last day of operation in the shop will be this Saturday.

As most of you know, dad (Rick) had some unfortunate health news almost two weeks ago. He has been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a terminal illness with no known treatment or cure. Due to this devastating news and the challenges that lie ahead, Rick has made the difficult decision to close the doors so he can spend time resting and be with his family.

We invite you all to come by the shop over the next couple of days, we still have lots w**e to sell and lots of bargain prices and most importantly we will spend the last few days here honoring the incredible journey Rick has shared with the community through his passion and dedication.

Your support, friendship, and loyalty have meant the world to Rick and all of us over the years.

Thank you for being a part of our community and for your understanding during this difficult time. We are profoundly grateful for each and every one of you.

Dear friends and customers, once again thank you all for the outpouring of love and support that you have shown us these past few weeks. The shop’s closure is imminent…

📣 We are aiming to wind things up this coming Saturday 22 June. 📣

And with this in mind, we would like to encourage you to come and claim any pending gift vouchers as soon as possible in store.

Please note that during this overwhelming time, our daily closing time has been brought forward to around 6.30. (More or less, depending on everyone’s capacity)

So don’t get caught out and swing by as soon as you are able to! The shelves are clearing out and the sale continues until the end. There is still plenty of stock waiting for you at great prices!
