Big thanks to everyone who supported our market day on Saturday. It was a perfect sunny Winter beachside day 🌞 Ray's produce van was a huge hit, doing busy trade all afternoon. Just as well he brought the big van full. Those pines and citrus were just flying out of the gazebo! 🍊🥑🍍😀
Several inside stalls recorded record sales. The new preloved ladies fashions stall was a hit.
Over $100 was raised by Cherie Currel for Coco's treatment.
Outside Shiatsu Massage made a beautiful space to relax and unwind, thanks Ohn Pi and Amanda. The most beautiful grazing boards I've ever seen, inlaid with paura shell and finished with antibacterial beeswax, were available from Daen Reader Collins. All the doggies got their treats from Dogtastic. The Indian cuisine was to die for. Such amazing flavours and never too spicy.

All these fabulous additions to the market will be back next month plus even more.

So thank you to my regulars and newbies for making such a great day for people to enjoy. And thanks to everyone who came through the doors to support our local tox free stalls and artisans.

NOTE TO ALL!
Stallholders and patrons,
Please be aware we have ground restrictions at UCM this Saturday May30.

Just this once, there will be no access to the side courtyard or rear lawn. These areas will be roped off to preserve the fresh turf that's been laid. Please stay back from these roped off areas and do not attempt to cross the lawn.

STALLHOLDERS
Bump in is via the Main Entrance and the Side door. Access to grounds is still available via the oval but through Hibiscus Drive gate only. Park Rd gate will not be open.

PATRONS
You will find our full complement of stalls + Indian cuisine inside the hall, and our Gazebo stalls and coffee van will be set up on the side lawn under the trees.

So we are one! 🎂🪇🙋
Yes the Birthday Market went off like a CRACKER 🎉

The cake was cut and gobbled up 😋. Our 50 market stalls traded all day right up to closing!
Honey, eggs, fudge and tea, toys, patchwork, jewelry, crystals, plants, woodwork, gifts, soap, skincare, water, radionics, sprays, drops, magnets, cards, jams, spices, pens, oils, and so much more.

Bodies and minds were soothed in the mini sound baths ✨
The music was pumping! 🎶
The busker was roving 🎸
I grabbed the mic and sang Shallow! ⭐ Did anyone else have a go? Donuts were devoured 🍩.
Lattes and slushies kept us going ☕🍧

It was a lot of fun! So thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate my with us at Under Cover Market - for Health & Happiness! Thank you to my wonderful stallholders who put together a spectacular array of goods and handcrafted wares and THANK YOU TO MPB INN for their special sponsorship of this event.

🎶Happy Birthday to Us, Happy Birthday to Us, Happy Birthday UCM, Happy Birthday to Us 🎶🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Its finally here, our Birthday market is tomorrow in Moore Park Beach, in the Community Hall and grounds, Club Ave, by the foreshore. 50 beautiful stalls (14 are completely new to UCM) + food + karaoke and live music all day + FREE CAKE!

This month marks a few special "firsts" for us.

1. OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!
Hooray! We are so happy we have delivered twelve months of regular monthly market days - no cancellations, no closures, no disappointments, and growing all the time! We are here the last Saturday of every month all year round! 🪇🙋

2. OUR FIRST KARAOKE
For the first time ever we have Karaoke at the market. Jan will be at the mic, from Kranker Up Karaoke. It's on all afternoon, 12-4pm so do come join in the fun, even if it's just to watch!

3. OUR FIRST SPONSORSHIP!
This one is super special and we thank MPB Inn for their generous sponsorship of $200 towards the market this month. With this help I've been able to book the karaoke and boost our advertising for this month's event which has really made a difference to our reach and public interest. We see the results almost immediately with a much bigger stall lineup and hopefully bigger crowds on the day. We certainly hope you will stop by to see all the new stalls and, eat some cake, and celebrate with us! 🎉

As you may or may not know, UCM is a private business venture funded entirely by me, Amanda Glenn OBrien. We are very fortunate to have such a great venue that we can hire from MPBCA. But we dont receive any government grants or council funding. We also don't receive any donations or assistance from any of the local community organisations. Public entry to the market is always FREE! We recently reduced our stall fees by 25% and we offer free stall sites to community groups interested to take part. I'm the owner of a small local business myself, and with the market my focus is to provide a regular meeting place for our community, a quality event to attract others from around the area, and a platform for all our small businesses to sell their wares. This does mean that every dollar spent to stage the market and promote it, is on me and I do my very best because its a labour of love 😘 and as many of you know, it's my happy place 😁 but it also makes sponsorship like Jan's and Sally's even more special and more appreciated 🙏

So THANK YOU Moore Park Beach Inn! Your recognition and generosity as one business to another is exceptional and you guys are just the best! 🩷
