It's so nice when your just turned 5 year old can let herself into my studio while I'm somewhere else in the house and I can then come back to my desk a few days later to find that these Christmas trees have no option to not be fused because the glue has dried solid 🤣 these are pretty expensive Christmas trees now with the glass she chose to use- it's about $20 for the glass for both trees! Made for Madeline (and in this case Made for Madeline by Madeline) is going to be operating at quite a loss with her expensive tastes ❤️

So proud that "somebunny" cared about this little bunny fused glass panel that I made with Maddy 🥳 I hope the buyer appreciates that this piece is entirely made of kiln fused smashed and cut glass. It's such a beautiful medium to work with and there is a lot more coming for this glass artist this year. I've still got one more piece in the show so hopefully that gets snapped up soon ❤️

Behind the scenes in fused glass. Fused glass is glass that has been kiln fired at a lower temperature than pottery. It's where the science of glass and its' properties when reacting to heat meets art. I'm lucky that for Christmas my parents bought me a kiln which has meant that I can make glass in my studio 💞
